  1. Following the easing of restrictions we are now open again from 9 till 5 each day, with a 3pm closing on Wednesdays.

Until further notice we will be restricting the number of customers in the shop at any one time, and expect everyone to comply with all social distancing and hygiene requirements.

Whilst browsing will be allowed in our menswear areas of the shop we have blocked access to the smaller schoolwear section as that is where crowding is more likely to occur. We will of course find any required uniform  for you, but are also encouraging schoolwear purchases via our website until full normality returns.

Unfortunately until advised otherwise trying on in the shop is not permitted, although we can exchange goods if necessary.

  2. UPDATE 1st June

Barring any changes in government policy we will be opening again on Monday 15th June, initially on a 10am to 4pm basis. However this will be under several restrictions. Customers will be expected to maintain social distancing, to ensure this we will only be permitting 2 people into the shop at one time, with waiting outside if necessary The fitting room will be unavailable, the trying on of garments will not be allowed in the shop. Whilst we can still accept cash, contactless card payment would be our preferred option.

Whilst we do not currently sell any of our menswear online we are encouraging parents making schoolwear purchases to do so via our website where we are currently offering free delivery on all orders.

If you wish to check on availability of an item before visiting please call 023 80421203

    UPDATE 23rd March

Just a week on from our original decision (see below) and the situation has now escalated to the extent that it is no longer viable, nor morally acceptable, to remain open. We have regrettably taken the decision that from tomorrow, 24th March, the shop will remain closed until further notice.

We feel sure that it will only be a matter of days until the Government would have made the decision for us. In the meantime please stay safe and we will be back as soon as allowed and/or feel it safe to do so.

    Posted 17th March

Clearly this is an ongoing situation that is developing daily, creating a lot of uncertainty. Our current position is as follows.

    We are open as usual.

Until instructed otherwise we will remain open as normal. We are noticing an increase in the sale of pyjamas and dressing gowns, presumably people planning for self-isolation or possible hospital visits. Parents are still needing school uniform whilst schools remain open. Whilst we are as a business, we have always considered ourselves as a part of the community here in Woolston and until that community is forced to shut down we will be here and available.

    Customer Safety.

Current advice is to avoid busy places and crowded areas. We are not Tesco. Whilst we get a steady stream of customers throughout the day, half a dozen people in the shop at the same time is busy for us. However we are prepared to ask people to wait outside for a minute or two whilst other customers are being served to prevent unnecessary interactions.

    Stock Levels.

At present we are well stocked on most items. Deliveries are however already becoming a bit unpredictable. Therefore as of today how we will stop taking orders for any items that happen to be out of stock until we are able to guarantee delivery times again.

    Enforced Closure

It is almost inevitable that at some stage we will be forced to close. If and when this happens we will issue further updates here.

    Stay Safe

In the meantime we hope that everyone stays safe, and just in case this drags on for longer than we anticipate, can we now take this opportunity to wish all our customers a Merry Xmas & Happy New Year

  3. The wait is over and the first batch of Year 7 blazers have now arrived, with plenty more to follow.

There seems to be some confusion as to what year 8s and above need for the coming year. Please see below for the situation as we have been advised by the school.

    OASIS SHOLING UNIFORM

Following lengthy discussions with the school they have finally confirmed to us the following regarding the change-over from TSTC to Oasis Uniform

    Blazers with new logo

These are compulsory for the new year 7s and we will have

regular weekly deliveries of these throughout the summer holidays

They are also optional for years 8 and above,

but initially we will only get the larger sizes in to order

Knitwear (V Neck Jumper or Cardigan)

Optional for new year 7s, although we anticipate most pupils will want

to wear one in addition to a blazer, especially in colder weather

The first stocks of these will not arrive until the end of August but these can be

ordered in advance when purchasing a blazer.

Knitwear remains compulsory for year 8s and above

In agreement with the school, children in these years should continue to purchase

the old style TSTC logo jumpers until stocks of each size run out ,at which stage

replacements will then filter in with the new logo.

Orders for larger sizes for years 8 & above will not be accepted for the new

badged knitwear until existing stocks are depleted.

    PE Kit

TSTC logo polo shirts still fully acceptable for all years, again with agreement of school shirts with new badges will not be ordered until old ones run out

    Ties

Each child (All Years) will be given a new tie when they

    start/return to school in September.

We will also be stocking the ties here here for those that wish to

purchase an extra tie, but they are not likely to arrive until late August.

  4. As parents will be aware, Netley Abbey Infant School is changing it's uniform colour and badge design.

Any new children starting in September will be required to have the new uniform, and we will have it in stock for them to purchase no later than June .

Children already at the school can continue to wear the existing red uniform for as long as they remain at the school. However at the request of the school, from now on we will replace any sizes that run out with the new design .

To speed up the clearance of the existing uniform we are giving away a FREE Polo shirt or P.E. T-Shirt (while stocks last) with every Red Sweatshirt and/or Cardigan purchased. We have also reduced the prices of the remaining red fleeces and coats.

Pleas note this offer only applies in the shop, online sales can not be set up to allocate the free garments.
